Out of the ten nominated films from 1938, three cannot be found at the moment: Test Pilot, Four Daughters and The Citadel. I must say, I’m especially upset at not finding Test Pilot, which stars Clark Gable, Myrna Loy and Spencer Tracy. These three actors have become new favorites of mine over the course of this project, especially Tracy. If anyone has any leads on any of the the missing film, I’d consider it a very welcomed late holiday gift.

That’s weird that 3 of the movies from this year are missing. 1938 does seem like THAT long ago, compared to the early thirties.
Its too bad Bringing Up Baby wasn’t nominated this year. I would love to read an article from you on that amazing film which deserves far more attention then it previously gets.
These are the exact three 1938 films that I’m having trouble finding in 2022, but Four Daughters has popped up on Apple TV and I watched it yesterday.
I love Priscilla Lane so much!
But my main observation is WOW! They would nominate anything in 1938.
