  1. When this film first came out, I watched in amazement, thinking that APOCALYPSE NOW was the best “war” movie i’d ever seen. Then came the last half hour with Brando’s insane ad-libbing and rambling…just crazy! From “I love the smell of naplam in the morning” to “the horror…the horror”. The horror, indeed, Marlon. what a mess.

  2. A brilliant metaphor, implicitly and explicitly, for the madness of the Vietnam war (and war in general). This is my favourite movie about the Vietnam conflict.
